Augmented reality system for Industry 4.0 testbed
Poláček, Matěj ; Honec, Peter (referee) ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (advisor)
The diploma thesis is concerned with the research of integration of augmented reality into the testbed Industry 4.0. Testbed is presenting automated robotic barman intended for practical demonstration and verification of concepts such as Industry 4.0 or a digital factory. The integration of augmented reality is realized via an Android application and creates the AR information system of the testbed. The theoretical part of the thesis is about Industry 4.0, the construction of the testbed and technologies of augmented reality used during implementation of the application. The practical part deals with the implementation and testing of the application. The conclusion includes an evaluation of the goals of the thesis.
Augmented Reality on Android - Hiding Real Objects
Katrušák, Jaroslav ; Bambušek, Daniel (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is design a way how to hide selected real objects to better display virtual objects in augmented reality and implement it in application for Android operating system. The resulting application, which is based on ARCore technology, allows, together with hiding selected objects, also insertion and subsequent handling of virtual objects. Thesis focuses on design and implementation of such an application and analyzes properties of the choosen solution.
Preview of Wall Color by Augmented Reality in a Smartphone
Vagala, Dominik ; Bambušek, Daniel (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design and implement a mobile application for Android, that allows user to change colors on a wall using augmented reality. The user can try different colors directly in the room where he is located and then decide which color he likes best for painting the walls. Sobel edge detector is used to detect wall boundaries, where the bounded section of the wall is filled with color using a modified Queue-Linear Flood Fill algorithm. The 2D coordinates where the user clicked on the wall are roughly converted to 3D coordinates in space. These are then tracked using the ARCore library, so that the wall remains colored even when the user moves around the room.
Indoor Navigation in Augmented Reality
Rainoch, Oliver ; Zemčík, Pavel (referee) ; Bambušek, Daniel (advisor)
This paper presents the use of augmented reality for indoor navigation. The aim is to create a mobile application with elements of augmented reality for user guidance. Visual markers and SLAM technology are used to determine a position. The resulting application is implemented utilising the ARCore library and the Unity game engine. The users scan the marker, selects the room which they are looking for, and are guided to the destination by map and an arrow in augmented reality. The current application aids the user in finding a room the need efficiently and with ease. Testing of the user experience and experiments with the resulting application took place in the building of the Centrum Univerzita Tábor with six participants. The same mechanics can be used for navigating users in various large environments ranging from schools and companies to warehouses.
Application of Augmented Reality: Measurement of Object Dimensions
Karásek, Miroslav ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The goal of this diploma thesis is design and implementation of an application for automated measurement of objects in augmented reality. It focuses on automating the entire process, so that the user carries out the fewest number of manual actions. The proposed interface divides the measurement into several steps in which it gives the user instructions to progress to the next stage. The result is an Android application with ARCore technology. Is capable of determining the minimal bounding box of an object of a general shape lying on a horizontal surface. Measure error depends on ambient conditions and is in units of percent.

Tvorba Android modulu pro rozšířenou realitu využívající ARCore
Vítek, Vojtěch
The aim of this work is to create a module for ARCore platform. The work is fo-cused on just one development environment and it is on the Android Studio where Java is used. Based on the analysis of this platform, a module is created that modi-fies and simplifies the necessary commands to make ARCore accessible to smartphones.
